Student at Penn Lincoln Elem. tests positive for COVID-19, district officials confirm

Altoona Area School District officials confirmed that a student at Penn Lincoln Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.

Superintendent Dr. Charles Prijatelj says the district was notified by a parent, late Tuesday.

District officials have contacted parents and are awaiting guidance from the Department of Health, Prijatelj added.

School officials did note that one class at the elementary school was asked to stay home Wednesday, but the grade level of the student, and class, have not yet been announced.
