PennDOT made a major announcement on a major road construction project in Centre County.
As part of the ongoing process to determine the new path for Route 322 between Boalsburg and Potters Mills, PennDOT initially also included what it termed a “Route 45 connector project” to possibly direct more Route 322 traffic to Route 45. PennDOT now says the Route 45 connector idea is dropped. Instead, they'll spend $3 million on a separate study on upgrading Route 45 safety issues in Harris and Potter Townships. As for the Route 322 corridor plan, the State College area connector project, PennDOT says a public meeting will be held this summer.
