YONKERS, N.Y. – John H. Goad IV of Yonkers died Sept. 10. He was 28. 

He was born Jan. 21, 1984, in New Rochelle to John H. Goad III and Sheryl Goad. He served in the Navy from 2001 to 2005. 

He is survived by his parents, John and Sheryl; two brothers, Michael and Christopher Goad; his grandfather, Donald Wetherington; five aunts, Denise, Deborah, Aleshia, Mary and Tammie; and many cousins and friends. 

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Yannantuono Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx, N.Y.
