NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) – Country music artist and dedicated soldier Craig Morgan was appointed to Warrant Officer 1 (WO1) in the Army Reserve on Saturday, February 3). The swearing-in ceremony unfolded at Huntsville, Alabama’s Redstone Arsenal and was presided over by Chief Warrant Officer 3 (Wo3) William R. Green. Joining the ceremony were John Clement (Deputy State Director/Military Advisor, U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn) and Craig’s wife, Karen Greer, in the company of family and friends.

With seventeen years of previous service in the Army and Army Reserve, notably with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions, the multi-talented country star, author, and patriot re-entered service last year. Morgan’s recommitment to the Army Reserve took place on the Grand Ole Opry hallowed stage on July 29, 2023.

Following his appointment as WO1, Morgan journeyed to Orlando, FL, where he donned his uniform to deliver the national anthem at the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl on Sunday (February 4) at Camping World Stadium. You can view the performance HERE.

In tandem with his military service, Morgan has maintained an active presence in the music scene, touring and releasing new music, including the October release Enlisted (Broken Bow Records). True to his commitment to country and camaraderie, Morgan enlisted the talents of esteemed friends for the latest album. The six-track release features fresh interpretations of four of his biggest hits, along with two new tracks. The star-studded collaboration includes performances by Trace Adkins, Luke Combs, Gary LeVox, Jelly Roll, Blake Shelton, and Lainey Wilson.

Recently concluding his headline “God, Family, Country Tour 2023” in collaboration with Operation Finally Home, Morgan’s tour and his latest record follow the release of his memoir — God, Family, Country. Co-authored with Jim DeFelice, the #1 New York Times bestselling co-author of American Sniper, the book provides an intimate look at Morgan’s extraordinary journey, from a humble upbringing in Tennessee to his elite military service and subsequent rise to country music stardom.
